Tampa & Winnetka Avenue Bridges over the Los Angeles River

Description: For this complex bridge project, both the Tampa Avenue and Winnetka Avenue bridges over the Los Angeles River were widened by 10 feet on either side and were updated to the latest seismic standards. The Winnetka bridge needed to be lifted completely off of its supports to replace its bearing pads. Rasmussen also constructed a segment of the bikeway that runs along the Los Angeles River. This work comprised cutting a notch into the side of the channel, driving piles to support a retaining wall and then placing concrete to make the 12 foot wide bikepath. Other work included CIDH, driven piles and utility relocation.
