Description: This Caltrans project widened a 6 mile stretch of the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley. It included the widening of four bridges, construction of 3 miles of soundwalls, and construction of an additional lane of traffic in the eastbound center median. The project also included about 12 miles of communication system to allow of monitoring of traffic along the freeway.
